SRP Offers Free In-Person Electrical Safety Workshop
Contractors Encouraged to Attend and Learn Life-Saving Work Habits
In an effort to keep workers and the community safe, Salt River Project (SRP) invites construction workers, landscapers, painters and other contract professionals to attend its FREE bilingual 2025 Electric Safety Workshop. This workshop includes live demonstrations and covers the potential hazards of coming in contact with overhead and underground power lines that run throughout Valley neighborhoods.
SRP safety experts will offer life-saving information on the following topics: 

  • Tailboards and safety minutes
  • Overhead and underground electrical safety
  • Burn risk awareness
  • Trench and road safety
  • Arizona 811
  • Step and touch potential
  • Tree-trimming and crane safety

6:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, February 22

Tempe, AZ

DETAILS:

  • To receive a certificate of completion, participants must attend all presentations and live demonstrations.
  • Registration deadline is February 14. Walk-ins are welcome.
  • Participants must be 18 years or older.
  • The workshop includes buffet breakfast from 6:30-7:30 a.m., and a chance to win raffle prizes.
  • The workshop will be available in English and Spanish.
SRP has been providing its Electrical Safety Workshop for more than 20 years to keep safety top of mind for workers who run the risk of electrocution if their bodies or any portion of their equipment comes within 10 feet of a powerline.
