James DeVary knows the ripple effects of caregiving firsthand. As an infant, when his mother's attention turned to caring for his brother through cancer, James spent his first year and a half being raised by a family in their church community. He went on to serve as a U.S. Army veteran with deployments to both Afghanistan and Iraq, then spent over a decade after returning home working directly with wounded veterans.

Today, James is a husband and father of two young children, and together with his wife Analaura, they own and operate Senior Helpers of Gilbert & Chandler, leading a team of trained, non-medical caregivers who support local families in their own homes. His lifetime spent around caregiving as a child, a soldier, and now a business owner shapes the perspective he brings to conversations about supporting the people who care for others.
