Dignity Health Chandler Regional and Mercy Gilbert Medical Centers have been nationally recognized for its dedication to patient safety and specialty care in two recent rankings. Spiritual Care for those with Mental Illness Spirituality is a large part of our quality of life and well-being. While the terms “spirituality” and “religion” are often used to mean the same or similar things; they are not the same thing. Religion is usually a set of beliefs and rituals that someone follows, while spirituality is more individualized and helps us find connection to something greater than ourselves. Sometimes people find spirituality within their religion and sometimes people do not.
