Rotary Club of Gilbert Announces Trivia Contest to Benefit the Gilbert Rotary Foundation

Stretch Your Brain to Stretch our Dollars For Good


On Saturday, February 1^st the Gilbert Rotary Club will host a Trivia Contest to support the Gilbert Rotary Foundation. If you know trivial things, or not, it will be a fun event.  Held at the SE Regional Library at 775 N. Greenfield Road in Gilbert, from 6:30 pm until 9:00 pm on Saturday, February 1^st.  This year’s Rotary International Theme is The Magic of Rotary.  Help us bring magic to those our dollars and time support throughout the year.
 

            Rotary International is one of the largest service organizations in the world.  Rotary provides service to others, promotes integrity, advances world understanding, goodwill and peace.  Gilbert Rotary Club supports causes locally and internationally that enhance health, such as the effort to eradicate Polio, fund clean water and sanitation projects.  The Gilbert Club funds and supports organizations that fight against hunger and homelessness.  We also support literacy and education through distribution of dictionaries and books to local elementary schools, and funding scholarships for high school students embarking on certification or degrees to enable them to seek higher paying careers, and youth ambassador exchanges between Gilbert’s Sister Cities in Ireland and China. We help fund Veteran’s programs and fund the Rotary Peace Pole at Gilbert Regional Park.  Then there are the countless hours we give to these and many more local needs.

The Trivia Contest will raise funds for these Rotary Causes, so we need participants.  We will have teams of eight (8) participants and up to twenty (20) teams compete to see who knows their trivia.
