New Cox Innovation Lab dedicated to teachers opens at AZ Educational Foundation

Last week the first Cox Innovation Lab for Arizona teachers was unveiled at the Arizona Educational Foundation in Central Phoenix. The lab provides Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and 3D printing; robotics and virtual reality; microelectronics with coding and circuits; and, creative tools including graphic design and vinyl cutting. These four instructional areas align with Arizona State Standards in Science, Computer Science, Educational Technology, Literacy, and Math. This exciting initiative will include workshops on cutting-edge technology and "library hours" when teachers can utilize the resources, like the 3D printer and die-cutters inside the lab. Access to the lab means teachers can meaningfully dedicate class time to exploring technologies while developing inspiring projects knowing they can bring their students’ ideas to life!
