Meet Tyler Hixson with Honey Badger Consulting

Tyler Hixon - Owner
Honey Badger Consulting

How many years have you been in business?
3 years

What product or service do you offer?
Honey Badger Consulting provides strategic business coaching for small to mid-sized businesses, helping owners bring clarity, focus, and accountability to their leadership teams. I work alongside business owners to implement proven frameworks like EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System), improve team collaboration, and create scalable growth strategies. My hands-on approach ensures that leaders are working on their business, not just in it.

What makes your business different, competitive, or unique?
Unlike traditional business coaching, Honey Badger Consulting operates as a fractional executive partner, embedding directly into your leadership structure to drive real, measurable results. I combine deep operational expertise with a no-nonsense, results-driven approach—ensuring that priorities are clear, teams are aligned, and execution happens. For the cost of an entry-level employee, businesses gain high-level strategy, accountability, and leadership coaching that moves the needle.

What is the nicest thing a customer has ever said about your business?
"Tyler’s character, work ethic and leaderships skills combined with his warm approach, set him apart from other executives. With his calm demeanor and ability to remain unflustered in stressful situations, he inspires confidence in those around him. What I think stands out most is his ability to maintain big-picture perspective while consistently supporting his team’s goals, thus driving overall success."

How has your business found value in your membership with the Gilbert Chamber?
I am focused on helping business owners in my community and the Chamber is an excellent way to become ingrained in the local community and support our beautiful town!

What Motivates you professionally?
I'm motivated by building meaningful relationships and helping facilitate success in others. With Honey Badger Consulting, I have no desire to scale the business to become a large firm; I want to have as close to 100% of my attention as possible focused on my clients goals rather than my own.

What do you consider to be your greatest success?
My greatest success is the quality of life I have been able to provide for my wife and four children. I have been able to provide for our needs without sacrificing undue time away from them in order to achieve corporate success. I have many professional successes that may be noteworthy, but they don't compare.

Who do you look up to or admire?
Jesus Christ

When you're not working where, in Gilbert, do you spend your time?
Outside of work, you will find me supporting and serving my church community, cheering on my kids with their hobbies and sports, hosting our friends for family dinners, and when I'm lucky, getting in a round of golf.
