Goldfish Swim School is a family owned premier learn-to-swim program for children ages 4 months - 12 years old.
 
What makes your business different, competitive, or unique?
Goldfish Swim School was created by parents, for parents, with this goal in mind — to give kids the platform to build essential life skills that will help them make waves in life. We’ve created an inviting and safe place where kids overcome their fears, learn to swim, respect the water and have lots of fun while doing it. Our award-winning tropical environment and shiver-free pools are simply the fun backdrop for where kids do some serious growing and learning. So while we’re focused on the serious stuff, your family will be focused on the fun. It’s what we call The Science of SwimPlay®.
 
What is the nicest thing a customer has ever said about your business?
The most rewarding feedback we get is about how we have made an impact in a child's life. Whether the skills we taught them saved their life on a family vacation, or how we helped to build confidence in a little swimmer in and out of the water. Hearing these stories reminds us all why we do what we do!
 
How has your business found value in your membership with the Gilbert Chamber?
The Gilbert Chamber has been great to meet new members of the community and to also allowed us to participate as a business in different events and fundraisers in the community.
 
What Motivates you professionally?
As a mom of 2, lover of the water and a lifelong swimmer, I feel it is so important for children to learn this essential life skill, AND to have fun while doing it! I grew up in MI where I was first introduced to swimming at age 4 after a near drowning experience. It is so important to me that I do everything I can to help educate parents about water safety and provide children in the community with life-saving skills and a love and respect for the water!

What do you consider to be your greatest success?
My greatest success is, without a doubt, raising my beautiful children while maintaining a strong marriage with my husband. Since opening our first Goldfish Swim School in 2018, my husband and I got married, and had two amazing children. They are now 1 and 3 years old. They are our entire world and a big motivator for us continuing to make a difference in the community!
 
Who do you look up to or admire?
I look up to and admire my parents every day. Their work ethic and family values have inspired me since day one of becoming a business owner, and now a mother.

When you're not working, where in Gilbert do you spend your time?
My family loves to frequent the local coffee shops, restaurants, children's clothing stores and Gilbert Regional Park.
