Love Local Event

Love Local is a one-day, community-powered experience designed to support and uplift women who are re-entering the workforce, navigating a life transition, or building a new path forward. Hosted by Community on Purpose in partnership with the cabi Foundation, the event will serve 40 women with a full day of transformation—including 4–5 pieces of brand new cabi clothing, professional hair and makeup, updated headshots, and a welcoming space to be seen, supported, and celebrated. New this year, attendees will also participate in a series of 20-minute “speed coaching” sessions led by local women business owners, each sharing a practical skill, insight, or “superpower” to help move them forward. From the moment they arrive to the moment they leave, Love Local is about more than what’s given—it’s about what becomes possible when a community shows up to invest in women in a meaningful, tangible way.

Ways to Get Involved

Whether you have time, talent, resources, or a network to share - there are so many ways to step into this with us:

1. Volunteer Your Time
Join us the day of the event or in the lead-up to support the experience (see link below)

2. Lead a 20-Minute Coaching Session
Share your expertise in a small-group setting (email mindy@amyjonesgroup.com if you’d like to snag a spot!)

Topics could include:

  • Budgeting or financial confidence

  • Interviewing or hiring

  • Building community or networking

  • Social media or personal branding

  • Collaboration over competition

  • Or anything you feel called to share

3. Provide a Service
We are still looking for:

  • Hair stylists

  • Makeup artists

  • Photographers

4. Sponsor Breakfast or Lunch (or Make a Donation)
If your business is looking for a meaningful way to give back, we would love to partner with you to support one of the most impactful parts of the day.

5. Share + Co-Brand the Event
This is one of my favorite parts - You are invited to take our event fliers, add your company branding alongside Community on Purpose, and share this as something you are bringing to your community.

This isn’t just about showing up for a day - it’s about building connection, visibility, and impact together.

6. Nominate or Encourage Applicants
If you know a woman who would benefit from this experience, please share the application with her.

Next Steps

This event has always been about more than what we give - it’s about how we show up for each other, and what becomes possible when women are supported in a room full of opportunity, encouragement, and belief.
