Don’t miss your opportunity to participate in the Fall 2026 Civic Discourse Workshop Series!

Like many of you, we have witnessed a decline in civil discourse at the local, state, and national levels. Gilbert Talks has developed a workshop series to help enhance our ability to engage in productive conversations with fellow Gilbert residents on critical community matters.

The four-part interactive workshop series takes place on Thursday evenings in September 2026 from 6:30–8:30 p.m. at Park University (92 W Vaughn, Gilbert, AZ 85233).

What to Expect

The workshops will focus on the principles of Civil Discourse, including:

• Effective communication
• Listening
• Empathy
• Bias
• Ethics
• Online interactions

Each facilitated session will include discussion followed by interactive small-group work to develop and practice skills associated with the principles discussed.

Who May Participate: Anyone over the age of 16 who lives or works in Gilbert. Those under 18 must have parental permission.

Cost: FREE!

Thanks to the generous support of SRP, Park University, and the Town of Gilbert, there is no cost to participate.
