How many years have you been in business? 8 in November

What product or service do you offer? Dogtopia of Gilbert is a locally owned family business and we will treat your precious pet like it was our own. We offer dog daycare, boarding and spa services . Our mission is to make sure your four-legged family members are kept safe and have a fun time when they are at our modern, open-play facility.

What makes your business different, competitive, or unique? Our 6000 square foot facility comes with spacious, supervised playrooms in which dogs are placed according to their size, temperament and play style to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for your beloved pet. We are proud to have a very large outdoor area with misters and shades and kiddie pools. We offer webcams so you can watch your pup when in daycare or boarding. Our location has a wonderful groomer as well!

What is the nicest thing a customer has ever said about your business? We love Dogtopia Gilbert-Remy feels so loved and welcomed there. Thank you for loving Remy and ensuring he has a great experience there, we love you for that!

How has your business found value in your membership with the Gilbert Chamber? We had some issues with zoning permits when we were just getting started. I reached out to the chamber, became a member and they held my hand through the entire process. I have belonged to a wonderful referral group for 7 years now and have gained some of my dearest friends. I can hardly go anywhere in town where I don't run into someone I know and it's all due to chamber events.

What motivates you professionally? Professionally, I’m motivated by my genuine love for dogs. At the end of the day, what matters most to me is that every dog who comes through our doors feels loved, safe, and has the very best day possible at Dogtopia. I’m also incredibly motivated by the relationships I’ve built with our pet parents. Earning their trust and providing them with the best possible experience and service means so much to me.

What do you consider to be your greatest success? My greatest success is opening such a wonderful daycare and having it be profitable and safe and respected.

Who do you look up to or admire? The person I admire most is my husband, Bret. He has always been a wonderful provider for our family. He has been an amazing father to our children, and I see so much of his influence in the incredible adults they have become.

His hard work, and support have also given me the opportunity to pursue my own passion and open Dogtopia of Gilbert. Because of the foundation he helped create for our family, I was able to follow that dream without many of the financial pressures that so many business owners face. I will always be grateful for the life we have built together and for the way he has supported me in pursuing something I truly love.

When you're not working, where in Gilbert do you spend your time? I love to read and I am learning to golf. We have a cabin in Munds Park that we escape to when we can and we both love to travel.
