What product or service do you offer? Gateway Urgent Care provides affordable same-day medical care for illnesses and injuries, occupational medicine services, digital X-ray, laboratory testing, sports and school physicals, vaccinations, medication dispensing, and medically supervised weight management. We welcome walk-in patients and offer convenient online scheduling at our East Valley locations.

What makes your business different, competitive, or unique? Gateway Urgent Care is a locally owned, independent medical practice focused on delivering high-quality care at transparent, affordable prices. Our basic self-pay urgent care visit is often hundreds of dollars less than hospital-owned and large corporate urgent care centers. Patients benefit from shorter wait times, experienced medical providers, onsite digital X-ray and laboratory services, convenient in-house medication dispensing, and five East Valley locations. We believe patients deserve exceptional medical care without unnecessary costs or corporate bureaucracy.
 
What is the nicest thing a customer has ever said about your business? One of the greatest compliments we receive is when patients tell us, "You treated me like family." We also frequently hear that they appreciate our caring staff, shorter wait times, transparent pricing, and the fact that they never felt rushed. Many patients tell us they've switched to Gateway Urgent Care because they receive more personal attention and better value than they experienced at larger corporate or hospital-owned urgent care centers.

How has your business found value in your membership with the Gilbert Chamber? The Gilbert Chamber has provided valuable opportunities to build relationships with other local businesses, stay informed about issues affecting our community, and strengthen our commitment to serving the East Valley. As a locally owned healthcare provider, we value being part of an organization that supports small businesses, encourages collaboration, and helps us connect with employers, schools, and community organizations. Our Chamber membership reinforces our commitment to investing in the community where our patients and employees live and work.

What motivates you professionally? I’m motivated by finding better ways to improve access to high-quality, affordable healthcare while supporting the patients, providers, and communities we serve. I enjoy solving complex operational challenges, embracing innovation, and building systems that allow our team to deliver exceptional care more efficiently. As an independent physician and business owner, I’m also passionate about advocating for fair healthcare policies that preserve patient choice and strengthen locally owned medical practices.

What do you consider to be your greatest success? Personally, my greatest success is my family. They are my greatest source of pride and the foundation for everything I do. Professionally, I am most proud of building Gateway Urgent Care into one of Arizona's leading independent urgent care organizations while staying true to our mission of providing affordable, high-quality healthcare. I am also honored by my service in the United States Air Force, where I learned the values of leadership, integrity, and service that continue to guide me in both medicine and business.

Who do you look up to or admire? I admire George Washington for his integrity, humility, and commitment to serving a cause greater than himself. He demonstrated remarkable leadership during the founding of our nation and, perhaps most importantly, willingly relinquished power when he could have held onto it. His character, sense of duty, and ability to put the country's interests above his own continue to serve as a model for principled leadership in public service and business.

When you're not working, where in Gilbert do you spend your time? When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and supporting local Gilbert businesses. One of my favorite spots is Sal's Gilbert Pizza—it's our go-to place for great pizza. I also enjoy exploring Gilbert's parks, attending community events, and staying connected to the community that Gateway Urgent Care has proudly served for many years.
