How many years have you been in business? 9

What product or service do you offer? I’m a travel advocate, not just a travel agent. Anyone can sell you a cruise. I stay in your corner from “what if we actually did this?” until you’re home unpacking. I plan ocean and river cruises, Disney vacations, and group trips, especially the complicated ones: three generations on one ship, a 20-person milestone birthday, or a family traveling with autism or special needs. We’ve lived those trips, so I plan like someone who’s been there. I also unlock interline rates for airline employees and their families. No planning fee. Just a real person who knows the fine print, watches the deals, and fights for you. Why go small when you can Travel Big?

What makes your business different, competitive, or unique? We’re J2, Jessie and Jason Geroux: Gilbert locals and real travelers who’ve lived the hard stuff. We’ve traveled with three generations and with autism, so we plan for sensory overload, nap schedules, and Grandpa’s knees before they become problems. Behind our hometown service is serious muscle. We’re powered by KVI Travel and Travel Leaders Network, which gives us big-agency buying power and supplier connections. Our interline niche gets airline families rates most agents don’t know exist. Jessie has sold travel since 2017, and we never charge a planning fee. You get the neighbor who answers the phone and the industry insider who knows where the deals hide.

What is the nicest thing a customer has ever said about your business? A friend came to me whose marriage was running on empty. They didn’t need just another vacation; they needed to find each other again. So we planned for connection: slower days, time alone together, and space to talk without the kids, the bills, or the phones. When they got home, my friend told me that while the romance she had hope to find on the trip was still being elusive, having someone in her corner while she navigated the trip was the best experience she has had with a travel agent and she looks forward to more.

How has your business found value in your membership with the Gilbert Chamber? Joining the Gilbert Chamber put us in a room full of people who get it: business owners who show up, give referrals, and want each other to win. Every Tuesday at 8:45, our Referral Team gives us 30 seconds to prove we’re worth knowing, and that weekly accountability has sharpened how we talk about Travel Big. The monthly mixers turned business cards into real friendships, and helping put together member intros for our newsletter has shown me how many great businesses are in our backyard. Travel is built on trust, and in Gilbert trust is built face to face. The Chamber gave us a hometown network we’re proud to send clients to and proud to stand behind.

What motivates you professionally? I’m motivated by the families who think “someday” is the best they’ll get. I’ve watched too many people put off the trip until the kids are grown, Grandma can’t travel, or the moment has passed. As a mom whose kids are grown, I know how fast those years go. Our family has traveled with three generations and with autism, so I know what it takes to turn a “we can’t” into “we did.” I love turning a dream into a real plan with a budget, a date, and a deposit. The best part of my job is the photo that shows up afterward: everyone together, smiling, somewhere they never thought they’d get to go.

What do you consider to be your greatest success? My greatest success is building something that’s ours. In 2017 I started as a sub-agent under someone else’s franchise, learning the business one booking at a time. Today, Jessie and Jason Geroux run Travel Big with J2, powered by KVI, with our own name on the door, our own clients, and our own way of doing things: advocacy first, no planning fee, and no family left behind because their trip seemed too complicated. We’re now hosting our own group sailing, the 2027 CONTENTment Cruise. But the real win is the families who keep coming back and sending us the people they love. Repeat clients and referrals are the scoreboard that matters most to me.

Who do you look up to or admire? I admire my son, Tyler Geroux, founder of Geroux Studios. Tyler is a creative adult with autism and a proud self-advocate. He didn’t wait for anyone to hand him a stage; he built one. What started as plush-toy comedy videos on TikTok grew into a family-friendly film and animation studio, and now he’s developing a curriculum and social club for aspiring voice actors from all backgrounds. Tyler creates with joy, persistence, and a heart for making the world brighter. He taught me what advocacy really means: you don’t shrink someone’s world to fit their challenges, you build a bigger one. That’s the heart behind every trip I plan.

When you're not working, where in Gilbert do you spend your time? When we’re not planning someone else’s getaway, you’ll find J2 at Way Church, which meets at Mesquite Junior High School. Sunday mornings are our reset button. It’s where we refill our tank, reconnect with our faith, and do life alongside people who feel like family. We’ve watched that community show up for each other in big and small ways, and it shapes how we show up for our clients. We serve people because we were first loved well. Gilbert has plenty of great spots, but home base for us is a junior high school campus on a Sunday morning, surrounded by our church family.
