Pilates 4 Me
Davonna Willis, Owner

How many years have you been in business? 4 Months

What product or service do you offer? Pilates 4 Me offers private, duet, and small group Pilates sessions focused on strength, mobility, posture, flexibility, and overall wellness. Our approach blends classical Pilates with a rehab-informed background in sports medicine, athletic training, and movement education. We specialize in helping beginners, busy professionals, active adults, and those returning from injury feel confident moving their bodies again. We also provide wellness education and personalized instruction in an intimate studio environment designed to help clients move with intention and feel supported every step of the way.

What makes your business different, competitive, or unique? Pilates 4 Me combines personalized Pilates instruction with over 20 years of experience in health education, sports medicine, and bodywork. Unlike large fitness environments, we focus on quality over quantity through private and small-group sessions where clients receive individualized attention, hands-on cueing, and education about their bodies. Our studio creates a welcoming, judgment-free environment where people feel seen, encouraged, and empowered. We are especially passionate about helping people who may feel intimidated by fitness spaces reconnect with movement in a safe and sustainable way.

What is the nicest thing a customer has ever said about your business? One of the nicest compliments I’ve received is when a client said, “This is the first time I’ve actually felt confident exercising again.” Many of our clients share that they feel comfortable, supported, and genuinely cared for in our studio. Hearing someone say they feel stronger, have less pain, improved posture, or are excited to move their body again reminds me why I started Pilates 4 Me. Those transformations—both physically and mentally—mean the most to me.

How has your business found value in your membership with the Gilbert Chamber? Being a member of the Gilbert Chamber has helped us build meaningful connections within the local business community while increasing visibility for our studio. The Chamber provides opportunities for networking, collaboration, education, and community involvement that are incredibly valuable for a growing small business. It has also allowed us to connect with other professionals who share a passion for supporting health, wellness, and local entrepreneurship in Gilbert and the East Valley.

What motivates you professionally? I’m motivated by helping people improve their quality of life through movement, education, and encouragement. Watching someone gain confidence, reduce pain, improve mobility, or simply feel better in their body is incredibly rewarding. I also enjoy creating welcoming spaces where people feel supported and empowered instead of intimidated. Professionally, I’m driven by purpose, impact, and the opportunity to continue growing while serving my community through wellness and education.

What do you consider to be your greatest success? My greatest success has been building businesses and educational programs that positively impact people’s lives while staying true to my mission of service and community. From teaching continuing education courses nationwide to opening Pilates 4 Me here in Arizona, I’m proud of creating spaces where people feel empowered to learn, heal, and grow. I’m also incredibly proud of balancing entrepreneurship, leadership, family, and mentorship while continuing to evolve personally and professionally

Who do you look up to or admire? I admire leaders and entrepreneurs who lead with integrity, resilience, and a genuine desire to serve others. I’m especially inspired by people who create opportunities, uplift their communities, and remain authentic while growing their businesses. I also deeply admire my mentors, fellow wellness professionals, and strong women who continue to balance leadership, family, faith, and purpose while making a positive impact on others.

When you're not working, where in Gilbert do you spend your time? When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with family, supporting local businesses, exploring wellness spots, and attending community events around Gilbert. I have my favorite guilty pleasure restaurant Zinburger or eating breakfast with my family at Matt's Big Breakfast or eating my favorite protein bowl at Nektar'. As you see I'm a foodie!
