GACF May 2026 Community Campaign

CALL TO ACTION:
"The First 72: Healing Starts Here"
Community Campaign

We are very excited to kick off our initial community-wide campaign to support victims of violence during the critical first 72 hours after reporting a crime - most likely the worst day of their lives.

WHY we focused this campaign on The First 72

Imagine Mom having to leave in the middle of the night while pulling her children from bed in their pajamas. After reporting the crime and a medical exam, her clothes are kept for evidence. She can't go home. She is devastated and her main concern is how to take care of her children. Through donations we receive, we can clothe the entire family for 3-days; provide them a safe hotel to stay; secure hygiene packages for basic care, food and transporation gift cards, and much more. If she can take her children home, we can provide new locks and security cameras to help ease her fears. By taking care of these basic needs, Mom can now begin the journey to healing and making important decisions for her and her family.

Please share the QRCode and/or link below with your friends and family, your fellow employees or organize a neighborhood gifting campaign, on social media or in person. Everyone can make a difference and small donations truly do matter! If you don't have time to shop through the Walmart Registry you can donate directly to the Foundation with the assurance funds raised will be used to support victims of violence. You can request a donation receipt from your Walmart confirmation email (click to view order, towards the bottom of the page you'll find the toggle for receiving an email donation.)

The Advocacy Center's construction is 70% complete and we will open this Fall! Let's work together to fill the Dandelion room (where we will store clothing, non-perishable food and infant items) with these critical items prior to opening.

Thank you so much for your interest and support of the Center and the Foundation!
