Hi Del, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My background was in sales. I come from the mortgage industry. I was burned out with the volatile industry and decided to start my business in August 2022. I always had a passion for hosting. I have done this on the side for friends and families for as long as I can remember. I love finger food/appetizers, personally. That’s’ where my love of charcuterie started from. Before starting my business, I have done numerous baby showers, bridal showers, and holiday parties. It was an easy transition once I gave up the corporate world.

Would it have been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Starting a business from the ground up comes with insecurities and doubt. I have to push through it daily to keep going. Since I’m a single entrepreneur, I’m in charge of it all. From marketing, making connections to bookkeeping, and being the creative artist behind the boards.

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Charcuterie is more than just arranging meats and cheese on a platter. It’s about transforming simple ingredients into visually stunning and delicious displays. At Delchuterie, we focus on presentation, utilizing colors, textures, shapes, and patterns to create visually appealing arrangements. We incorporate a variety of flavors to create contrast and balance on the board. This could mean pairing salty cured meats with sweet fruit, crunchy nuts, and imported cheeses/spreads with crispy bread. We offer customization based on themes, occasions, or personal dietary restrictions. Adding artistic touches like fresh herbs, decorative picks, or themes enhances our boards and tables’ visual appeal and beauty.

What do you think about happiness?
Family! I love spending time with my loved ones. I also enjoy being a part of my community. I love Gilbert and everything it offers. After joining the Gilbert Chamber of Commerce, I was fortunate enough to get connected to many other businesses and individuals that have now become part of my world.
