The Gilbert Chamber of Commerce seeks a dynamic and organized Foundation Programs Manager to play a pivotal role in managing and advancing programs that impact businesses, educators, veterans, and professionals in our community.
Job Description: As the Foundation Programs Manager, you will work directly with the Director of Workforce and Community Partnerships to deliver the business plan approved by the Board of Directors. Here’s what you can expect:
- Serve as the primary point of contact and onsite manager of The CATALYST—Gilbert’s Business Resource Center, including working with the public to manage room bookings and provide access to the site, organizing and supporting the delivery of workshops and training sessions, tracking data and assisting in reporting to stakeholders, and more. Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Gilbert’s Office of Economic Development.
- Provide support and, in some cases, lead workforce development programs, including but not limited to liaising with and providing administrative support to the Business & Education Committee, managing and expanding programs and events such as Tours For Teachers, Shadowing & Mentorship, Business & Education Summit, and more. Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Gilbert’s K-12 and post-secondary education partners.
- Provide leadership and management to operate and deliver programs and events that connect and grow veteran professionals and veteran-owned businesses, including but not limited to liaising with and providing administrative support to the Veterans Business Council.
- Assist in developing and operating Civics Series, including the Civics Bee.
- Support in-house grant writing efforts. Oversee the proper management and fulfillment of grant funds received. On a monthly basis, analyze, measure, and track programming and scope of work on behalf of the Gilbert Chamber Foundation.
- Serve as a staff liaison in rotation to facilitate ribbon cutting ceremonies on behalf of local businesses.
- Attend or participate in at least one professional development activity each fiscal year. This may include an industry conference or webinar training, etc.
- Other duties may be assigned by the President/CEO. Reports to the President/CEO.
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum two years’ work-related experience
- Strong knowledge of local and state education, workforce development, and/or economic development landscape
- Experience working with diverse groups of partners and stakeholders of various levels
- Experience planning and managing meetings and events
- Strong presentation skills as well as written, verbal, and communication skills
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to provide excellent customer service and be a team player
- Must be a self-starter, detail-oriented, and reliable business professional
Benefits: This is a salaried exempt position with full benefits, including paid time off, 401k, and health insurance.

- Dental coverage paid up to 50%
- Medical coverage, the employer pays up to $200 per month of the employee-only premium
- Paid time off equal to three (3) weeks per year, based on a 40-hour work week
