We are looking for a compassionate person who wants to help schedule care plans between the families we support in the community and our caregivers. A small part of the role would also consist of assisting with billing which we will provide training on.
If you have great communication skills, attention to detail, possess the ability to create new relationships, and are a critical thinker we would love to talk to you.
This is a full-time position of 40 hours a week from Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm paying $19-$21hr (based on experience), plus potential $200 bonus per month (based on performance). We offer a competitive salary, bonus opportunity, and 401k after twelve months of employment. We have a position open in Chandler, AZ & Tempe, AZ.
Responsibilities and Tasks
These are responsibilities and tasks that the Scheduling Coordinator might be asked to perform daily. There might be other duties, as assigned, that the scheduling manager will need to complete.
- Answer main office line and greet walk-in caregivers or potential customers
- Select caregivers based on assessment and care plan information for new and existing clients.
- Schedule caregivers based on availability, skill set, location, and best match for new and existing clients.
- Coordinate and maintain caregiver and client schedules and rearrange shifts, when necessary.
- Respond to situations where scheduling conflicts, emergencies, and or call-outs arise.
- Track and record in company software assignment refusals, call-outs, late arrivals, and early departures.
- Communicate with and provide input to internal hiring staff.
- Audit timecards regularly to ensure hours match scheduled hours.
- Complete the company schedule three days before all scheduled shifts.
- Maintain billing accuracy in home care software.
- May assist in keeping caregiver files up to date, including tracking expirations of any licensing, insurance, etc. into computer software.
- Manage workload based on SMART goals, prioritization, and personal initiatives.
- Perform opening and closing duties
- Open covering shifts if unable to find a caregiver
Qualifications
- Proven experience in medical administrative support and front desk operations
- Experience in scheduling patients/staff, clients, or services in an accurate and timely manner is required
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare providers
- Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Outlook and WellSky Software a plus!
- Familiarity with multi-line phone systems and clerical tasks in a office setting
- Caregiving experience a plus
