What is a Business Walk?

A Business Walk is a morning dedicated to learning more about the local business community through face-to-face interviews on the business's turf. Elected officials, local business owners, and community stakeholders walk from business to business asking conversationally structured questions. In just a few short hours, hundreds of businesses can be reached and key data can be collected about the needs of our local business community. 

We are Doing Something Different! 

While previous years have included an actual walk from one business to the next, we will be hosting this effort in one location this year.  Below are the event details: 

Expanding your Small Business in Gilbert: A Forum Focused on Supporting Entrepreneurs and Home-Based Businesses​

Event Description:

The Phoenix region is booming in entrepreneurial activity and Gilbert, Arizona is focused on fostering entrepreneurship and innovation within the community. If you are thinking of starting a business in Gilbert or already run a home-based business in Gilbert and are looking to take things to the next level, join Gilbert Mayor Jenn Daniels on November 15th to learn everything you need to know about operating a business in this town. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with officials from the Town and State to understand the resources available to entrepreneurs and small to medium sized businesses.  

This event is intended for Gilbert businesses that are:
  • Existing home-based business
  • Existing micro business (>5 employees)
  • Entrepreneurs
  • People thinking about starting a business in Gilbert

How Can You Help?

If your schedule permits, please join us from 8:15 AM to 11:30 AM on Thursday, November 15, 2018 to be part of our team! Join us on this important initiative as we gather intelligence, build relationships, and provide exceptional service to our business community. Prior to the event, volunteers are asked to solicit three (3) guests who fit the criteria as listed above (pre-registration required). During the event, volunteers are asked to serve as table scribes and to help collect missing surveys.

Gilbert Entrepreneurship and Innovation Summit is organized in partnership between Gilbert's Office of Economic Development and the Gilbert Chamber Foundation's Partners In Progress initiative.
