Lorraine Bergman and her husband Tom founded Caliente Construction in 1991. In February of 2004 Tom was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer. He was given only a few short weeks to live, but through his determination and desire to live he passed away a year later on February 12, 2005. The loss of Caliente’s founder was a tremendous blow to the company.  Lorraine struggled with the loss of her husband and running the business they built together.

Today Caliente is one of the largest woman-owned businesses in Arizona and ranks in the top 50 of all Arizona general contractors. The majority of their business is generated from past clients and business associates and is built on a reputation of integrity, superior performance and the personal touch of a family-owned business.
