Good Government: Connect with Congressional District 5 and the US Chamber of Commerce

Join us as we host Congressman Andy Biggs of Congressional District 5 for an engaging discussion with a focus on relevant, timely topics impacting the business community. At this event, we will receive an advocacy update from Jennings Imel, Executive Director, Congressional and Public Affairs on behalf of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Imel will host a discussion with US Congressman Andy Biggs, representing Arizona's Fifth Congressional District.
About Congressman Biggs:
Congressman Andy Biggs is an Arizona native and currently serving his third term in the U.S. House of Representatives, representing Arizona's Fifth District. He lives in Gilbert with his wife of 40 years, Cindy. They have six children and seven grandchildren.
Congressman Biggs received his bachelors degree in Asian Studies from Brigham Young University; his M.A. in Political Science from Arizona State University; and his J.D. degree from the University of Arizona. He is a retired attorney, who has been licensed to practice law in Arizona, Washington, and New Mexico.
Before being elected to Congress, Congressman Biggs served in the Arizona Legislature for 14 years - the last four as the Arizona Senate President.
Congressman Biggs is a member of the House Judiciary and Oversight and Reform committees. He is chairman of the House Freedom Caucus, co-chair of the Border Security Caucus, co-chair of the War Powers Caucus, and Chief Regulatory Reform Officer of the Western Caucus.
About Jennings Imel:
Jennings Imel is the Vice President of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Western Regional Office. The office is responsible for legislative and political grassroots activities in California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, and Hawaii in support of the U.S. Chambers national public policy goals.
Before joining the U.S. Chamber staff in 2013, Jennings worked in Washington, DC at the U.S. Association of Former Members of Congress and at the public affairs firm of Mercury, Clark & Weinstock. Prior to moving to DC, Jennings worked in the California State Assembly; he also managed and worked on several successful congressional and state legislative campaigns, mostly in the Southern California region.
Jennings received a masters degree in international affairs from The George Washington University and bachelors degrees in political science and German from the University of California, Riverside.
