CO+HOOTS Program Provisions
CO+HOOTS, a globally-recognized entrepreneur support organization, will partner with Gilbert to launch the Gilbert Business Huub, a robust co-branded digital platform to support local governments in revitalizing small businesses during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. Through the Gilbert Business Huub, businesses will be able to connect with available resources:
- 20+ COVID business recovery webinars for small businesses
- Direct connection to local government, consultants, and ongoing resources
- One-On-One Technical Assistance
- Training can be scheduled via the Gilbert Business Huub
- Level Up Incubator
- Four-week cohort program for 5 entrepreneurs to launch a new business
Local First Arizona Program Provisions
Local First Arizona will provide technical assistance training to Gilbert micro-enterprises and restaurants impacted by COVID-19. Micro-businesses are 9 employees or less.
- Provide up to 50 small businesses with ongoing immediate assistance, assessments of business growth strategies, and recommendations and training with up to 5 hours committed to each business.
- Local First will leverage a wide variety of expertise to assist the businesses including consulting on social media, digital marketing and SEO searchability, event management and marketing, video production, environmental sustainability audits and recommendations for marketing efforts and savings, and business liability assistance to share trends and claims that are occurring in the industry.
- Anticipated consulting services also include operations and inventory control, marketing, and social media support, community engagement and communication, and more.
- Provide 14 COVID-specific curriculum workshops planned and executed in sessions with up to 30 businesses in each course. Education will be delivered over a 6-month period in order for Gilbert small businesses to receive ongoing and up to date information and ideas to sustain their companies.
