What product or service do you offer?

CAP helps executives understand how to achieve and exceed their goals through ANALYZING what is needed, STRATEGIZING how and with whom to achieve it, and then MOBILIZING success. We help leaders know what their team needs to be successful, identify and remove roadblocks, and champion individual expertise where the whole truly is greater than the sum of the parts. The single most powerful factor that impacts success is INTENTIONAL LEADERSHIP – before you hire and then critically impacting whether team members stay (engaged or at all). We help leaders increase revenue, earnings, and sustainable scalability by striving for a team that shows up every day thinking "I love my job because I was literally made to do this!".

What makes your business different, competitive, or unique?

CAP’s Founder, Kim Watson, PhD, PMP, has a wealth of education, experience, and passion to construct high-performing teams. Not only does she mobilize a statistically sound device to gather great data, but she understands why it’s great data and has the experience to add the “so what” to empower strategic people decisions. Kim becomes a Trusted People Advisor in a leader’s most important decisions. She marries solid data with over 30 years of corporate, non-profit, governmental and athletic consulting to help leaders of start-ups, small and mid-size businesses, as well as Fortune 100/500/1000 companies achieve high producing and engaged teams so that everyone wins.

What is the nicest thing a customer has ever said about your business?

How has your business found value in your membership with the Gilbert Chamber?

Chamber members have provided me with solutions to my own needs (i.e., printing, promotional products, dentist, restaurants, jeweler) where I am able trust them to execute with precision and passion in their areas of expertise. I have also had the opportunity to associate with a network of people who hold similar views on business and community where I feel I belong. And, I have had the opportunity to learn from those who may hold differing views from mine. Whether in agreement on issues or not, I find the people of the Gilbert Chamber – members and employees alike – to be solid, professional, good people. So, the greatest value in the Gilbert Chamber – by far, the people!

What motivates you professionally?

Helping others be successful. I’ve had the privilege of coming alongside great visionaries to help execute their vision through and with a great team. My number one personal value is that there is no mistake in the way anyone is made. When a leader leads that way, and a team believes it, you have a lot of success. Although I don’t believe “everyone should get a trophy”, I do believe everyone can add value if in the right seat. It’s up to us as leaders to empower the value of the individual for the benefit of the team. When others define what success looks like for them, and I get the chance to help empower that, I’m blessed.

What do you consider to be your greatest success?

My family. I am so grateful and proud to be a mom and wife, with strong partnerships at home AND at work.

Who do you look up to or admire?

First, my mentor, who challenged me to think for myself, and own my thoughts, since I was 17. Second, my parents, who have shown me what tenacity and commitment are – married 63 years! Third, my husband, who continues to help me be a better version of myself every day even though he loves me just the way I am. And, fourth, my kids. My daughter is one of the most thoughtful, helpful people on the planet. My son is the nicest guy you will ever meet who naturally puts others first. And, he’s a warrior facing one of life’s biggest battles (brain cancer), all with a smile, encouragement and gratitude for his caregivers. His wife is incredible too!

When you're not working, where in Gilbert do you spend your time?

When not working but still in Gilbert, I spend my time at home gardening, reading, playing games, or playing with our pets; walking or biking down the canals; or at Mission Community Church.
