We offer fiduciary monitoring system, retirement plan health check, industry reports, investment policy statement, fiduciary vault, RFP director, pension resource institute, fee comparison and analysis evaluation, fund lineup comparison. We also offer ongoing investment recommendations, ongoing investment monitoring, qualified default investment alternative assistance, performance reports, service provider liaison, education services to plan committee, participant enrollment and education, benchmarking services, and assistance in identifying plan fees.

What makes your business different, competitive, or unique?
 
What makes our business different is we have the feel of a small personal business with the resources of a large corporation. Being backed by the largest independent brokerage firm in the country we have the same resources and technology as the large firms do. Yet, we are independent advisors that pride ourselves on having that personal touch with every plan sponsor and participant we work with. We work with many companies around the country and travel to all of them to be face to face and educate and provide any assistance needed. We take what we do very serious and very personal, we understand the importance of retirement and the future of people's lives.

What is the nicest thing a customer has ever said about your business?
 
One of the nicest things someone has said about our business is that it changed not only their lives but also their children's lives. Putting money away gave them the financial freedom to live the life they wanted to when they retired and even before that. Them being able to see the value of putting their money to work and not just letting it sit there is something they in turn taught their children and which has made their children more financially independent and free. Finances can be very stressful if you don't understand it or have someone helping you. Being able to help others and it change their life is the most rewarding part of this job.

How has your business found value in your membership with the Gilbert Chamber?

One the ways my business has found value being a part of the chamber is being able to go to all the networking events. The Gilbert Chamber is one of the most active and involved chambers I have ever seen. Going to any of the events whether it be a round table, social hour, or 9 and networking events has been extremely beneficial.

What motivates you professionally?

What motivates me professionally is being able to change people's lives for the better. I was fortunate enough to grow up being taught how to handle my finances and I have been intrigued by it from a young age. I understand how stressful handling your finances can be and how daunting the future can seem. Every person I work with has the opportunity to change their future for the better. Being able to educate people on the benefits of putting money away for retirement and how that can be literally life changing is what motivates me to work hard. I want people to look back in 30 years and say, "If we never met Jake Taylor we wouldn't be here".

What do you consider to be your greatest success?

Graduating from Texas State University dean's list recipient and magna cum laude.

Who do you look up to or admire?

One person I look up to and admire is long gone in the history books and his name is Marcus Aurelius. Him being the man and leader he was, has inspired me to be a better man. The mindset and mentality he had and lived his whole life by is admirable to say the least. I can quote thousands from his writings but two of my favorites are.

When you're not working, where in Gilbert do you spend your time?

When I am not working, I enjoy spending my time on the beautiful golf courses in gilbert and walking around downtown.
