How many years have you been in business?

AzOPT was established back in 2007 in Goodyear, but our Gilbert location opened June 2022

What product or service do you offer?

At AzOPT, our mission is to create long lasting results through one-on-one personalized care, detailed explanations, and education. We offer physical therapy for all ages; this can include manual therapy, dry needling, cupping, exercises and more. Whether you need to return to sports, work, or simply performing daily activities pain free, our physical therapy programs are tailored to the individual needs of each patient.

On the other side of the building, we have Kids Place Pediatric Therapy. We offer pediatric speech, occupational, feeding and physical therapy for ages 0-9.

What makes your business different, competitive, or unique?

We ONLY employ licensed physical therapists. We do not use any techs, aids, or assistants, so you are getting 1-on-1 care with a Doctor of Physical Therapy at every visit. It makes a huge difference!

Today’s physical therapist is required to complete a graduate degree from an accredited education program before taking the national licensure exam that allows them to practice. By comparison, there are no educational guidelines for physical therapy techs. A tech can be an individual with a basic certification or a high school student aspiring to be a physical therapist.

How has your business found value in your membership with the Gilbert Chamber?

We loved seeing the chamber community come to support us for our ribbon cutting. We also look forward to participating in the many networking events the chamber offers every month!


What motivates you professionally?

My favorite part of being a physical therapist is seeing my patients succeed and return to what they love to do.

What do you consider to be your greatest success?

Personally, marrying my middle school sweetheart!

Who do you look up to or admire?

In everything I do, I want to be like Jesus Christ. He is the main reason we are here on this earth, and I strive to live like him every day. Of course I fail, but luckily, there's grace!

Professionally, I look up to my colleague Jordan. We went to school together and now run this clinic together. He pushes me every day to be the best physical therapist I can be. He's incredibly smart and brings a lot to the table for our clinic.

When you're not working, where in Gilbert do you spend your time?

My wife and I (and our dog) love downtown Gilbert. You can find the three of us at our favorite dog-friendly restaurant- OHSO. We are also active members at Grace Covenant Church in Gilbert.
