How many years have you been in business?
Since 2016

What product or service do you offer?

Majestic Neighborhood Cinema Grill is a full-service, dine-in cinema with locations in Gilbert, Chandler and Tempe. We feature the latest new releases, along with a robust calendar of curated cinema programming, designed to accommodate the film interests of every guest. Our complete food and beverage menu includes traditional movie fare like popcorn, candy and ICEE, appetizers entrees exclusive to Majestic, and a great selection for the kids. Our bartenders serve up movie-themed craft cocktails, along with mixed drinks, wine and over 30 beers on tap.

What makes your business different, competitive or unique?

Majestic Neighborhood Cinema Grill features Service at Your Seat, where guests can enjoy full food and beverage service during their movie. We endorse the practice of good movie manners through policies like “No Talking, No Texting, No Arriving Late” and showtimes designed to accommodate certain age groups. Every location features a lobby bar with our complete menu, and our theaters also serve as private event spaces, ideal for corporate meetings, celebrations, fundraisers and more.

What is the nicest thing a customer has ever said about your business?

We regularly receive wonderful and valued feedback from our Gilbert guests, so it’s hard to select just one. One guest left a 5-star review and said this: “The Majestic in Gilbert in great - they’ve kept the best parts of the former Alamo franchise, but now they’re 100% local and have the freedom to offer movie lovers a more customized experience.”

How has your business found value in your membership with the Gilbert Chamber?

Working with the Gilbert Chamber has enabled us to become more directly acquainted with other local businesses in the area, especially since we’ve only been open in Gilbert since 2019. We appreciate the opportunity to welcome guests to our Gilbert location looking for a great entertainment experience, and the Gilbert Chamber is one way we can spread the word. Because we also rent out theaters for private events and corporate meetings, it’s extremely valuable to stay connected with other business owners in the area, so we can design the right rental packages to fit their needs.

What motivates you professionally?

I’ve been in the food and beverage and entertainment industry for decades, and what motivates me is my desire to constantly find new and innovative ways to help our guests make great memories. We do that through unique food and beverage offerings, interesting film programming, and fun movie parties, but for me, it’s about finding that next big thing to offer our guests. Stay tuned because Majestic has more to come!

What do you consider to be your greatest success?

We opened our Gilbert location in late 2019 under a different brand name, and just as we were getting up and running, the pandemic closed our doors. In September of 2021, we reintroduced ourselves at Majestic Neighborhood Cinema Grill. Thanks to an incredible team of people, a phenomenally supportive Gilbert community, and relentless optimism, our Gilbert location continues to grow in attendance and popularity. Having our business remain vibrant today after all the challenges we’ve faced is definitely my greatest success, and it’s one I share with everyone who has helped us along the way.

Who do you look up to and admire?

I truly admire Creed Ford III, for whom I worked at Johnny Carino’s. He was a true force in restaurant innovation, and his vision and grit were instrumental in creating many of the powerhouse chains in our industry. Though he left this earth too soon, his legacy lives on through so many of the decisions I make daily. I would be remiss if I didn’t also include my parents, who made so many sacrifices for the good of our family and gave us valuable guidance and support well into adulthood.

When you’re not working, where in Gilbert do you spend your time?

Our free time is limited these days, but family is my focus. My time outside of work is spent cheering on my kids at their soccer and baseball games, and if I’m really lucky, squeezing in a round of golf.
