Who is the owner/manager?
How many years have you been in business?
What product or service do you offer?
Modern Moments was made to bring people together. To accomplish great work and to share fond memories. Today, wedding parties, corporate teams, and private groups alike have access to Modern Moments. And they put our space to use for weddings, receptions, life events, corporate meetings, and more. If you need a space, we’re here for you.
What makes your business different, competitive, or unique?
The versatility of our venue offers our clients a unique and custom landscape to create a space that's perfect for their event. With the ability to host up to 300 guests in our outer space area, our venue is certainly one of a kind in the valley. In addition to our amazing space, we have an amazing list of partners to help support our clients (caterers, florists, photographers). Something unique about Modern Moments from most, we do not restrict who our clients use for these services which opens the doors for so many more options and budgets. Seeing truly is believing and we welcome you to take a tour with us anytime.
What is the nicest thing a customer has ever said about your business?
We love hearing from our customers and we love learning how our space made their event amazing. Something we hear frequently is how great our team is. We really take the time to sit down and listen to the needs and dreams our clients have, and then we work hard to make those dreams become a reality.
How has your business found value in your membership with the Gilbert Chamber?
We're a fairly new business in Gilbert. If I had a nickel for every time someone said, "I had no idea this place existed", I'd be pretty well off. The Gilbert Chamber provides us a channel to create a voice in the local community, a way to be seen, and opportunities to give back to the community we live and work in.
What motivates you professionally?
I'm the type of person who finds more joy in life through helping others achieve their goals with work I might be a part of. I'm the chief bottle washer, the last to turn out the lights out at night, and the first person to let you know you did a great job or pick you back up when things get tough. I'm also a dreamer, oh the ideas I have and the businesses I would love to create. I've been blessed beyond words with the organizations we've created and not a day goes by that I'm not motivated in some way with the work I get to do.
What do you consider to be your greatest success?
Learning to be more patient with life and business.
Who do you look up to or admire?
I admire the people in the trenches, those doing the hard work that so many of us take for granted, myself included. The teachers, the service techs, the nurses, the laborers, the military... the list goes on and on. I especially admire those that do this work to support their families - because they have grit, a desire to do more, and a dream of a better someday. These are the people I admire because they understand the value of hard work and doing good work. Without them, well, where would we all be.
When you're not working, where in Gilbert do you spend your time?
I am the proud father of nine amazing individuals that keep me going all over this great town. From school activities, sports, clubs, and everything in between, I try to be present and involved as best I can. When that's not enough... I enjoy walks, dreaming up new business ideas, and dining at all the amazing local restaurants in Gilbert. Truly we are blessed to have such amazing place to call home.
