What makes your business different, competitive or unique?
John’s Refrigeration is more than an air conditioning company. We take a whole-house approach to customize comfort solutions for our clients. We use a 5-step process to improve safety, health, and comfort while maintaining low operating costs. 
What is the nicest thing a customer has ever said about your business?
Our motto is that we Do the Right Thing, No Matter What and when our customers mention that that is what we did, I feel especially proud because this is a direct reflection on how my team interacts with our clients.

How has your business found value in your membership with the Gilbert Chamber?
John’s Refrigeration would not be the company we are today if I had not become an active member of the Gilbert Chamber! Through my membership, I have met great people that became mentors to help push me further and have had a tremendous impact on my business. Because of these associations, I am a better person, business owner, manager, employer, and friend.

What motivates you professionally?
To be successful, as a business owner, as well as a mentor, to help others reach their goals. There is nothing better than working with someone to help them along their path to success and watching them succeed. Yes, to have reached goals is a great thing but it’s really about the impact on their quality of life that makes it worth it.
What do you consider to be your greatest success?
John’s turnaround story. At one time, John’s was not in great shape. We had struggles in just about every part of our business.  The biggest one was in the culture of our team. We went to work to address the issues, put in place effective policies and procedures, and put a lot of attention, time and money into creating a culture that breeds success not only for the company but also for the team. Through this, we have more than doubled our sales, greatly improved team retention (we have virtually no turnover), and created a culture that has helped the company and its team members succeed.
Who do you look up to or admire?
Ever heard the saying, "It takes a village to raise a child."? It doesn’t just apply to children. It took a village to raise myself into the person I am today, and it took a village to raise John’s into the company we have become. My village is made up of many mentors that I have met through the years. It’s those mentors that listened to my pain, gave me advice, and helped me implement change that I admire and am most thankful for.
When you’re not working, where in Gilbert do you spend your time?
My wife and I enjoy going downtown for an evening out. We love the variety of restaurants that are available.
