The Arizona Coyotes hosted Club members from our Peoria and Swift branches at AZ Ice to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. For many of our members, this was their first time at an ice rink and they loved it. We are so grateful to Shane Doan and Coyotes President Xavier Gutierrez for their investment in our kids and helping them discover a love of the sport.

Earlier this month, the Chris Paul Family Foundation graciously invited BGCAZ to attend the annual “Celebrity Server” dinner at Mastro’s Ocean Club. Our CEO, branch directors, program staff, former Youth of Year and current AZ Youthforce interns joined for a night of fun with Phoenix Suns players. Thanks to the Chris Paul Family Foundation for hosting a fantastic event!

Remembering Grant Woods

Our Boys & Girls Clubs family extends our most heartfelt condolences to the Woods family and friends. Beyond his remarkable legal and political career, Grant was dedicated to his community, especially his hometown, Mesa.

He was the founding President of the East Valley Boys & Girls Clubs and the Mesa Education Foundation. He was the founding President of the Mesa branch of the Boys & Girls Club, which was named in his honor - the Grant Woods Boys & Girls Club. This photo is from the dedication day with Marlene Galan and his wonderful family. Grant Woods modeled service for young people and mentored so many through his career. We have lost a true statesman.

Dutch Bros Does It Right!

Special thanks to our partner Dutch Bros, and the wonderful volunteers that donated their time to help out this month! They brought wonderful energy to every single opportunity they participated in, especially at our Valley Toyota Dealers Telethon in October.

We had awesome Dutch Bros employees answer phones, and represent us live on air. We appreciate their partnership with us, and the work they’ve done to help our Clubs!

AZYouthForce: Helping Teens Develop A Plan for the Future

Talking about careers and plans for the future starts at a young age in the Clubs. Our kids need to establish goals, and start to connect their interests to careers. Teens can explore the world of work through BGCAZ’s workforce program, AZYouthforce. Check out this Arizona Midday segment that explains our signature internship program for teens!
