Programs & Events Manager (Major Events)

Working closely with Senior Management, this role is responsible for coordinating and delivering events and programs on behalf of the Gilbert Chamber and Gilbert Chamber Foundation which are of value to our membership and stakeholders.

The goal of this position will be to engage members through programs and events to achieve the anticipated retention rate and fundraising goals.

Current assignments include:

  • Work directly with President/CEO to plan, manage, and deliver the event planning components of each event in the Good Government series, including oversight of the event checklist, utilization and management of event volunteers, coordination with community partners, and layout/design of event programs. 
  • Serve as staff liaison for one (1) of the Chamber’s Referral Teams with a commitment to maintaining professional relationships with each member and providing administrative support on behalf of team officers.
  • Plan, manage, and deliver certain general programs within the business plan, including management of key community partnerships and engagement of stakeholders.
  • Plan, manage, and deliver all aspects of signature events on behalf of the Chamber and the Chamber Foundation, including oversight of the event checklists, utilization and management of event volunteers, coordination with community partners, layout/design of event programs and slideshows, and writing event scripts. 
  • Plan, manage, and deliver one-time events, conferences, or workshops on an as-needed basis as assigned by the President/CEO, including management of key community partnerships and engagement of stakeholders.
  • Attend or participate in at least one professional development activity each fiscal year. This may include, but is not limited to, an industry conference or webinar training, etc.

Other duties may be assigned by the President/CEO. Reports to the President/CEO.

Salary Range:

$45,000 to $55,000, plus stipends, bonuses, and incentives upon eligibility
