DESCRIPTION:This workshop is in Collaboration with Local First Arizona\n\n\n\nParking:\n\nThe parking lot for The CATALYST and Gilbert Chamber of Commerce will be under construction on June 26\, 2025. There is free parking in the Heritage District Parking Lots just North of The CATALYST. Please click the parking map below for the Heritage District Parking lots. They are located just North of The CATALYST building. You will park there and then walk just over the train tracks to The CATALYST. There will be an A-Frame sign out to help direct. We do apologize for the inconvenience\, but we are so excited to see you on Thursday\, June 26th for this interactive and informative workshop facilitated by Alyssa Prewitt with Local First Arizona.\n\nParking Map \n\n\n\nRooted & Real: Telling Your Local Business Story\n\n\n\nSo many business owners skip this part and it's one of the most powerful tools you've got.\n\nBeing local is more than just your zip code. In this hands-on workshop\, we'll dig into why your localness matters and how to actually use it to connect with your customers\, build trust\, and stand out.\n\nYou'll walk away with a filled-out worksheet that helps you tell your business story in a real\, personal way something you can use at markets\, in your marketing\, and in everyday conversations.\n\nThis workshop is for all kinds of businesses whether you sell products\, services\, or something in between. If you're building something local\, this is for you.\n\n\n\nFacilitated by Alyssa Prewitt with Local First\n\nAlyssa Prewitt is a proud Arizona native and longtime Gilbert resident who's loved watching her community grow over the past decade. As Director of Coalition Resources at Local First Arizona\, she works closely with locally owned businesses to deepen connections and open doors to meaningful opportunities. Her background in storytelling and small business support helps her build trust\, spark ideas\, and move projects forward with intention. Alyssa loves helping entrepreneurs feel seen and supported. Outside of work\, she runs Twice Upon a Time Books\, a Gilbert-based side business that pairs readers with surprise pre-loved books.
