DESCRIPTION:Join Gilbert Leadership Class 34\, and the Gilbert Chamber of Commerce in-person for a ribbon cutting. Celebrating the completion of their class project\, the ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 4:00 PM.\n\n\n\nWe love to support and celebrate businesses in Gilbert\, and we welcome all members of the Gilbert community to attend our in-person ribbon cuttings! Ribbon cuttings are a celebration and support of the business and induction into the Chamber. Arrive 20 minutes before to introduce yourself to the business. After each ribbon-cutting celebration\, please plan to stay an additional 20 to 30 minutes to mingle and network with the business and guests.\n\n\n\nA recorded copy will be on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/@GilbertChamber on a later date.\n\n\n\nAbout Class 34's Project: The McQueen Activity Center Renovation-\n\nThe McQueen Activity Center serves as an essential gathering place for families\, children\, and community members\, especially those who benefit from affordable and accessible programming. Despite years of heavy use\, the outdoor event space has not received a major renovation since 2004. Updating this space ensures it remains safe\, welcoming\, and functional for families of all income levels\, while preserving a community resource that prioritizes inclusion\, affordability\, and opportunity.\n\n\n\nGilbert Leadership Class 34 partnered with the Town of Gilbert to refresh and enhance the McQueen Activity Center's outdoor event space to better serve families\, youth\, and community members. The improvements help keep rental and event costs low\, ensuring the venue remains an affordable option for milestones such as weddings\, family celebrations\, nonprofit events\, and community gatherings.\n\n\n\nWe invite you to join us to celebrate the improvements to the McQueen Activity Center and see the space for yourself.\n\n\n\nWhen you attend this event\, you enter an area where photography\, audio\, and video recording may occur.
