For the past 10 years\, Gilbert staff has been actively evaluating the population\, employment\, and development trends in this area. On this walkabout of the Northwest Growth Area Employment Corridor\, we'll explore examples of the data and outreach which suggests that revitalization may be necessary within and beyond this employment corridor. \n	\n	\n	Dignity Health Campus\n	\n Dignity Health Mercy Gilbert Medical Center and Phoenix Children?s Hospital are undergoing construction of the new Women?s and Children?s Pavilion on the Mercy Gilbert campus. The state-of-the-art medical facility\, designed to care for women and children in the East Valley\, is a partnership between Dignity Health\, one of the nation?s largest health systems\, and Phoenix Children?s\, Arizona?s only nationally recognized pediatric hospital. The Women?s and Children?s Pavilion\, which will be 378\,000 square feet\, will include 24 labor and delivery rooms and 48 post-partum beds operated by Mercy Gilbert which will have the capability to care for high-risk births. This will be a closed toe shoe and hard hat tour in Gilbert?s Central Business District.\n	\n	\n	Warner Commons\n	\n Industrial space is a highly sought-after asset class in Gilbert\, which currently has a vacancy rate of less than 1.5%. Learn more about the role of industrial employment in Gilbert and the need for industrial land use as we visit this new business complex under construction and located in the Gilbert Gateway Employment Corridor on the north side of Warner Road between Power and Recker Roads.
