DESCRIPTION:The Public Policy Speakers' Series is an exclusive Chamber-member only dialogue with key government officials who will be on-hand to share the latest in their areas of expertise and answer questions from members on important topics impacting our businesses and community.\n\n\n\nWhile no cost to attend\, registration is required due to limited seating.\n\n\n\nThe guest speaker for this month is Chuck Podolak the Director of Water Rights and Contracts at SRP.\n\n\n\nAbout the Speaker:\n\n\n\nChuck Podolak is the Director of Water Rights and Contracts at SRP where he leads a group that protects SRP's long held rights to water it delivers to its shareholders in the Valley and manages all the delivery contracts with partner cities. Prior to joining SRP\, Chuck was a Congressional Staffer in Washington DC\, serving as Senator Jeff Flake's Natural Resources Policy Advisor. In that role he was responsible for policy and legislation relating to Arizona's water\, lands\, and energy issues. Dr. Podolak has a Bachelors degree from the U.S. Air Force Academy and a PhD in fluvial geomorphology (river sciences) from Johns Hopkins University. Originally from Colorado\, Chuck first moved to Arizona in 1997 during the early part of his Air Force career flying F-16s and is proud to call Arizona home once again.
