DESCRIPTION:How much interview practice have you had? Will you be looking for a job soon? Interviews are an essential part of getting a job and just like anything else\, practice makes perfect!\n\nJoin us for Mock it 'Til You Rock it! where local high school students (9th-12th grade) are invited to participate in a "mock-interview" event and have the chance to develop and practice interview skills in a fun elimination-style challenge PLUS WIN PRIZES! This opportunity will help students develop their interview skills and prepare them for getting that first job!\n\nThe Challenge: \n\nStudents will sit together at a table with an interviewer and during the first round will have 60 seconds to answer an interview question. At the end of the round\, the interviewer will select 3 students to move forward to the next round and so on until we have the final round to determine challenge winners.\n\nThe goal of Mock it 'Til you Rock it! is to provide students throughout the Gilbert area with the opportunity to enhance their soft skills and help reduce the stress and anxiety that may surround them during their first interview. We hope to boost confidence by acknowledging strengths during interviews\, along with providing constructive feedback in a low-stress environment. PLEASE JOIN US!\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCOVID-19 Update:\n\n\n\nThe health and safety of our community is a top priority. So that we can continue to offer in-person events\, we ask guests to review and adhere the following protocols. These protocols will remain in effect while our community is in Substantial or High Transmission: \n\n\n All individuals\, including those who are fully vaccinated\, are encouraged to wear masks while inside the building\, especially when distancing of 6 or more feet cannot be accommodated.\n If you have been in close contact (within 6 feet of someone for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period) with someone who has COVID-19\; OR if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19\, such as fever\, chills\, cough\, difficulty breathing\, new loss of taste or smell\, or other symptoms\; OR if attending an in-person meeting would compromise the health of you or a family member\, please do not attend any meeting or event in-person. We will gladly accommodate you with a virtual attendance link\, if possible.\n\n As we navigate through this together\, you can rest assured that our team will work diligently to maintain high standards and quality programming to deliver a valuable experience to you\, even with these protocols in place. We will continue to monitor local\, state\, and federal guidance and will adjust these protocols as needed.
