DESCRIPTION:The Gilbert Young Professionals (GYP) program is a dynamic network of emerging leaders and rising professionals committed to growing their careers\, expanding their influence\, and making meaningful connections. Through educational workshops\, social events\, and community volunteering\, GYP offers opportunities to connect with peers and community leaders\, develop leadership skills\, and make a lasting impact in the Gilbert community.\n\nTo kick off the season\, GYP is hosting its very first social:\n\n  Billiards & Backpacks   a night of fun\, networking\, and giving back at Jester's Billiards!\n\nGet ready to chalk up your cues and make a difference. While we rack up the good times\, we'll also be collecting much-needed school supplies for the Stock the Classroom Drive\, powered by For Our Town Gilbert. This initiative supports high-needs schools in the Gilbert and Higley Unified School Districts\, helping students and teachers start the year off strong.\n\n  Bring a backpack or just help fill one!\n\nWe're collecting the following new items during the event:\n\n  24-pack of Crayola crayons\n\n  Wide-ruled composition books\n\n  Headphones\n\n  Copy paper reams\n\n  No. 2 pencils\n\n  Pocket folders\n\n  Disinfecting wipes\n\n  Mini whiteboards\n\n  Expo dry erase markers\n\n  Reusable water bottles\n\n  Glue sticks\n\nWhether you're new to town or a longtime local\, this is the perfect opportunity to:\n\n  Connect with other young professionals\n\n  Learn how GYP is making an impact\n\n  Enjoy games\, drinks\, and lively conversations all while doing some good\n\nLet's show up\, shoot some pool\, and support our schools one backpack at a time.\n* Please note that non-members are welcome to attend up to two Chamber events. After attending two events\, continued participation will require an active Chamber membership.
