SUMMARY:GEM Talk Event - Creating Your Future: It's All In A Name
DESCRIPTION:Confucius said that ?The beginning of wisdom is to call things by their proper name.?\n\n \n\nNaming "things" is a part of general human communication using words and language and today?s conversation is about the power of naming things. I will share a few ways naming things has altered the landscape of my life and transformed my sense of empowerment and identity and ultimately primed me for the freedom I have today.\n\n \n\nEvery business coaching advice I?ve received has always made a point about naming your target market - about drilling down your market to the smallest detail so you can carve out a niche with that segment. I will share how this type of drilling made a difference in my personal life which created everything I know and have in my professional life. \n\n\n\nSpeaker: Elaine Kessler\, Elaine Kessler Photography\n\n\n\nBio: Elaine operates Elaine Kessler Photography and directs Created Equal Trigger Exhibits\, an arts organization that generates dialogue\, collaboration\, and data. An Adjunct Faculty in the arts at Park University in Gilbert\, Elaine is also a former faculty associate in ASU?s Asian Pacific American Studies Program and in the Hugh Downs School of Human Communication. Elaine was awarded Businesswoman of the Year in 2019\, Volunteer of the Year in 2017\, and is a Flinn-Brown Fellow in the Arizona Center for Civic Leadership Academy.\n\n\n\nElaine is married to William Johns and together they have two incredible kids\, Adele and Elise. Arizona has been their home since 2001.\n\n\n\nIn addition to all thing?s arts related\, Elaine is a fanatic for dogs\, adhesive products\, stationery\, and Brazilian cocktails.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout GEM Talks:\n\nDesigned for the Entrepreneur\, these events are patterned after "TED talks" and are called "GEM Talks" - Gilbert\, Entrepreneurial\, Motivational.
