DESCRIPTION:The Business & Education Summit is designed to gather thoughts and feedback about a topic which impacts several community stakeholders\, guests include representation from government\, education\, small and large businesses. Attendees work on a series of discussion questions to assess opportunities to address local issues and ways in which to support one another.\n\n \n\nJoin us for the 2022 Business & Education Summit: Building the Gilbert We Want!\n\n \n\nDr. Amanda Burke\, Executive Vice President of the Center for the Future of Arizona\, will share results from the Gallup Arizona Survey\, where we learned Arizonans overwhelmingly agree on seven shared public values and 42 actions to drive the state forward. These are issues on which 70% or more of Arizonans agree - with strong support across geography\, income\, education level\, political affiliation\, race\, and ethnicity. Knowing what Arizonans want and what brings them together is the first step in creating the public will for change.\n\n \n\nJoin us as we discuss the shared public values surrounding education\, workforce\, and the future of our Gilbert community! \n\n \n\nKeynote Speaker:\n\nDr. Amanda Burke\, Ed.D\n\nExecutive Vice President of the Center for the Future of Arizona\n\nBio: Dr. Amanda Burke joined the Center for the Future of Arizona (CFA) in 2009 and is the Executive Vice President for CFA. Dr. Burke focuses on innovation and systemic change that will advance the priorities of Arizonans and the long-term future success of the state. She oversees CFA's strategic initiatives in the areas of education\, workforce\, and civic health. Dr. Burke previously served as CFA's Senior Director\, Education and Workforce. Prior to joining CFA\, she was the Director of Education Innovation and Policy at Arizona State University in the Office of University Initiatives within the Office of the President. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCOVID-19 Update:\n\n\n\nThe health and safety of our community is a top priority. So that we can continue to offer in-person events\, we ask guests to review and adhere the following protocols. These protocols will remain in effect while our community is in Substantial or High Transmission: \n\n	All individuals\, including those who are fully vaccinated\, are encouraged to wear masks while inside the building\, especially when distancing of 6 or more feet cannot be accommodated.\n	If you have been in close contact (within 6 feet of someone for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period) with someone who has COVID-19\; OR if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19\, such as fever\, chills\, cough\, difficulty breathing\, new loss of taste or smell\, or other symptoms\; OR if attending an in-person meeting would compromise the health of you or a family member\, please do not attend any meeting or event in-person. We will gladly accommodate you with a virtual attendance link\, if possible.
