CHILDCARE ATTENDANT (Women's Fitness Studio)

Childcare Attendant is responsible for overseeing the Kid’s Area while parents are working out, interacting with the kids, and ensuring a safe and fun environment. Our Kids Corner Attendants are responsible for supervising the children. They are not responsible for helping to the restroom or changing diapers.  Must have open availability for mornings and evenings.

 

Responsibilities

  • Cares for children in a defined area of the gym for the attending member(s).

  • Organizes and stores toys and materials to ensure order in Child’s Area

  • Must portray a fun and energetic demeanor

  • Sanitizes toys, play equipment, and complete the daily cleaning checklist

  • Attends all required staff meetings

  • Alerts parent/guardian if necessary to attend to discipline issues and attend to personal needs (diaper changing, changing clothes, restroom assistance)

  • Must ensure no drinks or foods are in the Child’s Area

  • Must be accountable for children at all times

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • 1 year childcare experience preferred

  • Infant and Child First Aid and CPR certification preferred

  • Ability to safely lift and hold children up to 25lbs

  • Must be able to communicate well with children

  • Excellent verbal and written communication with adult parent(s) required

  • Requires the ability to stand or sit for up to 3 hours throughout the workday

 

HOURS

This is position requires 20+ hours weekly

COMPENSATION

$10-$14/hr depending on experience and some benefits for qualified posititions. 

Required education:

  • High school or equivalent

Required experience:

  • Childcare: 1 year
